It has been long since i wrote something on my blog. Since it is election time in India, i have come up with this write up.

Before you come up with the first impression reading the title of this blog, i want to clarify a few things:

—>
I shall make it clear that though I’am a supporter of RSS and BJP, i do not subscribe to some of their ideologies.

—>
This article might be pro hindu., but this does not mean it is against Islam or Christianity. MY LIFE IS INCOMPLETE WITH MY MUSLIM AND CHRISTIAN FRIENDS.

—>
This is against the two sinisters of modern indian society-the media and the politicians.

My first messege is to India’s worst hypocrite- the so called balanced secular media:

—>
I’am a hindu who felt sad seeing Varun Gandhi make very provocative statements against the muslims. I really dont subscribe to such hate speeches. But why did the media turn a blind eye when an atheist chief minister from Tamil Nadu[we all know who] makes a statement like this- “If you see Brahmins and a snake together, brahmins should be killed first”
Isnt this a hate speech? Why did the so called balanced, nationalist, secular media did not focus on this? Is it just becuase Brahmins are not a big vote bank.

—>
I’am a hindu, who was literally in tears seeing the massacre of innocent people during the 2002 gujarat riots, but what hurt me the most was that media only highlighted only the muslim victims totally neglecting the hindu riot victims. If there is one thing more dangerous than a lie, it is half truth
Like every other mature indian, i laugh with agony at the report which said that the fire on the godhra trains was an accident. Every mature head in India knows that it was a well planned heinous crime against the RAM SEVAKS
I recently got a mail which said that Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkha Dutt working with NDTV at that time got $5 million to cover only muslim victims.
I wont say that i completely believe in that report. It was made to believe that Hindus sporting tilaks were the ones who brutally massacred the muslims. After all what you see is what you believe right?

MY NEXT MESSAGE IS TO THE SO CALLED SECULAR PARTIES:

During elections, in order to score brownie points, many so called secular parties rake up the babri masjid demolition. I was a 4 year old kid when the babri masjid was razed down in 1992. It was indeed a black day in Indian history. But many times it is just used to pit one community against the other.

I have a few questions for the secular parties:
1. Many beautiful and ancient temples are being razed down in Kashmir. The minorities in Kashmir i.e the Kasmiri pandits are being driven away[ the worst human rights violation ever]. Why doesnt your secular mindset protest this?

oooooopsssss i forgot, kashmiri pandits dont form a sizeable votebank

2. When you accuse some right wing parties of being communal, then why the hell you[ the communist and the congress] are openly flouting with a party headed by a terror accused Madhani and the Indian Union Muslim League in kerala?

this is vote bank politics of the worst kind

What do these parties think? just by appeasing the minorities, they think they can win these elections. BULL SHIT! The minorities are much more clever than what these dumb fellows think.

Please note that I’am one of those Hindus who believe in the age old Vedic saying-”Vasudhaiva Kutumbhakam”. meaning this one world is one big family
I will certainly vote in the coming elections to a better person else a lesser thief.

Last but not the least, I do have an advice for the BJP:
They shouldnt impose thier ideaolgies on the Youth of India in the name of Indian culture.

I do call upon my countrymen to vote this time on national issues rather than petty local issues.
NATIONAL ISSUES INCLUDE: TERRORISM, RESERVATIONS IN PREMIER INSTITUTES
Please make your voice heard this time atleast.

I’am surprised i came up with such an article. I’am a risk averse guy who absatins himself from writing such sensitive issues.
If i have written it, you might very well sense what should have been brewing all these years. I had to vent my anger today

comments, hate mails, howlers etc. are all welcome

    great article dude!!
every single word here is complete!
    i agree with u completly.
i guess initial 2 clarifications aren’t necessary ,cos whatever u wrote here is not at all pointing against any religion rather its for media and politicians..!
No people from any of those two religion would feel bad when we say whatever we are supposed to say, cos everything is DAMN UTTER TRUTH!!!!

  2. Syed Aziz Says:

Mister BJP is no saint. Dont forget what Narendra Modi did in gujarat.

  3. Aaditya Bharadwaj Says:

Since you told me yesterday in college that you have scheduled a surprise post for today, i had been eagerly waiting for it.
Hats off to you buddy! You have called a “SPADE A SPADE”

These things happen only in india. The majorities are totally ignored. In these general elections, i would like to see both the congress and the communists wiped off. In the next general elections i want a much better alternative to the BJP. We should not forget what this government along with the left did to bring in reservations

  4. harsha Says:

    very good article!
we need to stand up for our rights .

  5. Swarna Says:

Very nicely written Vinay.. I also feel that many of us Indians have an identity crisis and thats when all this fanaticism arises, and this is taken advantage of by the political parties.. It is very imporatant for us to keep our religions at home and step out as Indians..
There is an obsession with Narendra Modi and his so-called communalism with the media and certain misinformed sections of society.. Today, the Muslims in Gujurat are the far more prosperous than their counterparts in other states, especially in the so called secular Congress.. It would indeed be very sad if Congress came back again, they are already so complacent about their method of minority appeasement, which is sadly, confined to speeches.. I m hoping and praying that the youth, irrespective of their religion look through this..
    Great writing Vinay..!:)

  6. Vishal Says:

I agree with your allegation that Indian media are biased. But honestly, which media aren’t. Yes, the media should have some social responsibility (don’t we all?) but they are NOT liable to us. The media industry is a private enterprise. Blaming them for not giving you what you want is akin to blaming Danny Boyle for not showing the *complete* picture in his movie Slumdog Millionaire. SM is an artistic expression of a director, who is not responsible to make sure that he shows the complete picture of the millieu in which his movie is set.

Okay, that analogy might be far fetched. But media people don’t have an agenda against the humanity. They are trying to make a living, feed their families, pay their rents/mortgages. If people like to know what Kareen and Saif are doing in their bedroom, media will (try their best to) report that to people.

Remember “Kasai bhi bakra tabhi katataa hai jab log use khate hai” meaning: the butcher will kill the goat only if, and only *because*, people eat it.

If consumers prefer news that fits their prejudices, journalists have an incentive to cater to them. The media is not forcing (biased) news down the people’s throats, the public actually *lines up* to get their daily dose of (biased) news. [Paraphrased from The Myth of Rational Voter]

I am not implying that media is fair. I am not trying to completely take away the blame from media. I am saying that the public is more to blame to the poplarity of biased (politial) or trashy (celebrity) news.

  7. Anitha Says:

To some extent, i agree with your post. These people[ congress] are selling our country. At the same time, we do not have visionary national leaders like Vallabhai patel. The sad part is that we dont have an alternative et all.

We are forced to go with the BJP in the absence of an alternative.

  8. abhay Says:

    good.

give more links to support your opinions.

  9. I am overwhelmed by your responses. Thank you everybody. I hope the message is loud and clear that the politicians cant take the youth for granted. Thank you once again.

  10. Swaroop Says:

hi Vinay..really a thought provoking blog mate..the one thing what this blog has done to me is to encourage me to read more of your blogs.

  11. sahana Says:

Congrats Vinay, for expressing a sensitive issue so well without giving room to extremist views.Well written.
Its amazing to see the audacity of political parties pointing fingers at others when they themselves have messed up things badly. For instance, the Congress accusing Modi of gujarat riots when they themselves have been involved in an equally bloody riots in 1984!
But sadly these so called ’secular parties’ have succeeded in brainwashing the people.
Religion is something which Indian people identify with better than being just Indians. And we all fall for the pseudofavouratism shown to our respective religions by political parties especially during election time

The current PM Manmohan Singh also joined the bandwagon saying that minority development is the first priority. He being such a respectable man should have said that development of poverty ridden, educationally backward people is the first priority.Just because Hindus are a majority in this country, doesn’t mean all are well to do in terms of economy and education. In fact more than half the people of India irrespective of religion live like pigs.
hopefully in this election lesser number of people will fall prey to minority appeasement speeches and vote bank politics

  12. Abhibha Says:

Great post full of emotions !
But let me make it clear that it was congress who got us the freedom, it was they who gave voting power to the youth, it was they who brought IT industry to india, and it was them who brought to end the isolation of india in the field of nuclear science.

They are not the ones selling the country ,rather it is the lust for power that made BJP oppose the nuclear deal , their lust made them bring black money into the sacred parliment to falsely accuse the government , it is their lust that has made them to promise a ram temple in the disputed land in their manifesto.
What did BJP do during the highjack they released a terorist and later their home minister says he had no clue of what was happening ! On the contrary congress who you allege of flouting openly with a party with teror link , waht did they do ? they sent well trained commandos to battle out the mumbai hostage crisis and captured a terrorist .

Now don’t tell me congress is psuedo-secular who are trying to attract the minority votes only , which is baseless cos they also attract the hindu votes.Thats what i call secular party as they are not ignoring the hindu vote bank and just depending on minority!
Whereas BJP is non-secular cos they promised building of ram temple in the disputed land and did not even bother about rebuilding the numerous churches demolished in bihar , orissa etc., There are many more examples.Well you say hindu are persecuted inJ&K for a long time , what did BJP do for them when in power , don’t tell me it started only after cong came to power .BJP does all this stunts because they are intrested in attracting the votes of hindu as they are sure of not winning without them and this is what i call nonsecular party.
But I will agree if you say that both parties have corrupted members and very aged members, who are not fit for the presious posts.I peresonally feel that the congress candidate in my area is not the right person, and so are the other candidates, What do i do now? well i look at a party which is pro-development, non-regional and secular!
So its high time that youngsters enter politics and clean it , which is not possible overnight and is a slow process!

  13. Dhruvesh Says:

Well Manmohan Singh was the best prime minister we ever had. Please open your eyes yourself and see this government has done a lot for the poor and downtrodden by giving reservations in premier institutes

  14. Abhinand Says:

Great article man. I agree with you… that’s a rarity and you should treasure it!
I completely support the Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam philosophy. If you regard someone as your family, then you shall not give any preference to them, and should let that family member earn for his dope.
Varun Gandhi is a complete dickwad. His lot are besmirching the name Gandhi since 1940’s!
